Christmas Tips & Tricks No.2: make your own origami star decorations
It seems as if it's definitely time to decorate your Christmas tree, carefully choosing your best baubles for the very finest tree branches. I don't know about you, but I always feel as though I need just one more decoration, or find an extra spot around the house that is calling out for something festive.
If that's you, then I've got you! Why not make your own origami star garland? These are perfect for stringing across windows, hanging over mirrors or mantelpieces, or even floating through your tree.
Once you get the hang of it, they're also really easy to make (and quite addictive!)
You could even make these as gifts for friends and family, handmade with lots of love.
You can use any paper for these too - the off-cuts from your present wrapping, or any paper you have at home. The stars in this video are made using my Swans & Swallow wrap, which is the ideal thickness for crisp, sturdy stars (if I do say so myself!)
Happy folding...
Let me know if you give it a go! I'd love to see a photo - send me one on Instagram!
